ഖത്തറിൽ വെച്ച്‌ അടുത്ത മാസം നടക്കുന്ന ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യത റൗണ്ട് മത്സരങ്ങൾക്കായുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്ക്വഡ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. മലയാളി താരങ്ങളായ സഹൽ അബ്ദുൽ സമദും, ആഷിക് കുരുണിയനും ടീമിൽ ഇടം നേടി.ജൂൺ 3ന് ഖത്തറിനെതിരെയും, ജൂൺ ഏഴിന് ബംഗ്ലാദേശിനെതിരെയും, ജൂൺ 15ന് അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താന് എതിരെയും ആണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗ്രൂപ്പിലെ മത്സരങ്ങൾ.
